Warrawong Estate as a Melbourne wedding venue
Situated just 40 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD, Warrawong Estate is a venue offering a rustic and country feel. The Woolshed was first constructed in the 1850s and is the ultimate space for a relaxed wedding celebration or a more formal reception. One of the last remaining victorian style bluestone sheds it can accommodate 180 seated guests and 200 for a cocktail style event.
The ceremony will take place outside midway between The Woolshed and the silos overlooking the Werribee River.
As a Melbourne wedding photographer who has been to this amazing wedding venue for quite a few times now, we love this wedding venue also offers luxury glamping so if you and your wedding party want to clamp the night before your wedding you can get back to nature. Each of the seven tents includes queen sized beds and can sleep two adults and two children. The Honey Moon tent has fresh linen, a beautiful natural rug, bed side tables, a vintage lounge with two arm chairs and a coffee table and extra blankets for the colder months. Each of the tents also has electricity. You can include a breakfast to finish off your stay.
Our story with the couple
The morning getting ready: Jason was quite relaxed on his wedding day, with our Melbourne wedding photographer catching his true essence of him relaxing before the ceremony got under way. He was photographed in casual attire and while getting changed into his suit and tie. We were able to photograph the close bond he shared with his mother as she helped him put on his tie and he then helped his groomsmen with theirs. They were all overjoyed.
He wore dark pants, with clean white shirts and black vests like his groomsmen. He decorated his suit with a rosette and posed in the backyard with his parents.
We then moved onto the bride’s photography, first snapping her sleeveless dress hanging and the invitations for their wedding which was held in September this year.
The bride was excited and was laughing with her bridesmaids as they sipped champagne before the occasion before she admired her wedding dress. Her bridesmaids helped her zip up her dress and her earrings. They were also there to assist with her sandals. We then took some photographs of her laughing with her bridesmaids and bouquets after they had changed.
The wedding ceremony: The bride and groom arrived in glamorous black cars and made use of the venue’s umbrellas. The wedding was set amongst the silos in the woodshed and her father walked her down the aisle as the couple’s friends and family watched on.
The wedding photo location: We took photos of the couple outside where the ceremony was without any guests. We also photographed the guests arriving and watching as Jessica’s father walked her down the aisle.
The wedding reception at Warrawong Estate: Jason and Jessica had a sit down wedding reception with a live band in The Woolshed and we photographed them having their first dance.
