Vue on Halcyon as a Yarra Valley wedding venue
The Yarra Valley is a beautiful space for a wedding and Vue on Halcyon is the ideal venue if you’re looking for a contemporary feel. The venue combines style and elegance with a rustic, country vibe. It’s set amongst farmland. It’s the best choice for couples who want delicious food, incredible wine and friendly service. The venue is great for a wedding ceremony and reception and features uninterrupted views of rolling hills and the historic vineyards.
As a Yarra Valley wedding photographer, i think it’s a great choice for couples who want a more intimate affair and caters for up to 50 guests. The venue can also hold elopements if you don’t want a big affair. The ceremonies in the amazing chapel have exposed timber trusses or if the weather allows you can exchange your vows amongst the vines.
Then move indoors for the ceremony or evening reception. The venue can cater for 90 seated guests for up to 150 cocktail-style occasions. Canapes and wines from the state are included and the venue can also help couples with their wedding planning. With over ten years of experience they know the latest trends and will give you a day to remember for a lifetime.
Our story with the couple
The wedding getting ready: Our Yarra Valley wedding photographer took photographs of Kris getting ready and his groomsmen placing a rose in his pocket square. He was snapped deep in thought looking out the window and posing directly to camera.
The groom’s party was big with seven groomsmen, all wearing different suits from light grey through to navy and black. They raised a glass as they prepared to watch him celebrate the biggest occasion of his life.
The photography continued with the bride getting ready. We photographed her strapless lace dress hanging on a coat hanger and the rings intertwined with each other on a black background. Linda posed with her mother and then her two bridesmaids who helped her get her open toe sandals on. She then posed with her father as he prepared to walk her down the aisle. She had pale yellow roses for her bouquet. Showing a sense of humour, the two ring bearers had chests with “Ring security” on the front.
The wedding ceremony: It was a cold and rainy day but that didn’t take away from the joy of the occasion with the bride and groom walking down the aisle with umbrellas. A formal affair, the wedding was set in the chapel with the guests seated.
The wedding photo location: After the ceremony, the entire wedding party was photographed outside the farmhouse with the children at the front and Linda and Kris exchanging a kiss.
The wedding reception at Vue on Halcyon: The wedding reception was a cocktail event so we photographed Linda and Kris cutting the cake and having their first dance as their guests watched on.
