Tegan and Dimitri choose to get married at the Greek Orthodox Church, Melbourne, followed by the reception at the Ivory Elsternwick on March 8th, 2024. It was an eventful day as the couple celebrated their romance by becoming man and wife in the traditional format. We were honored to be a part of their grand celebrations and photograph their coming together at the Church and then the reception, locking the special moments for their posterity.

Tegan and Dimitri’s wedding ceremony was held at the historical Greek Orthodox Church. The happiness around them was unfathomable as they exchanged their vows, and I got the opportunity to photograph them with their families and friends and together as a couple. The ceremony was followed by a reception at the newly renovated Ivory Elsternwick, where sophistication beautifully blends with spaciousness. We followed them there, too, to add memorable moments to their wedding album.

Greek Orthodox Church as a Melbourne Wedding Venue
Ivory Elsternwick As a Melbourne Reception Venue
Standing tall on Elsternwick Street, the Ivory Elsternwick is a refurbished version of an old-world reception venue where contemporary ambiance blends thoughtfully with antiquated charm. It is a modern twist on classical romance, appropriate for intimate ceremonies like weddings. It is close to Melbourne’s Brighton Beach, CBD, and Parliament House. The stylish foyer, the Georgian-style facade, the terrace, the white arbors, the rose-garden courtyard, the intricately designed chandelier, and the grand ballroom are best suited for unforgettable celebrations.
Tree Studio is a reputed wedding photographer, and we were fortunate to shoot at both venues during Tegan and Dimitri’s wedding ceremony. The photoshoot was done at the Parliament House and on the city channel to capture the couple’s best moments during the day.
OUR STORY WITH THE COUPLE:
Tegan and Dimitri started the preparations quite early, and they wanted to hire their wedding photographer from the onset so that things would be synced seamlessly. They spoke to us, and we got the opportunity to present our shots and portfolio. They loved what they saw, so that’s how we came on board as their wedding photographer.
Getting Ready: The couple’s special day started with shooting the bride and groom individually at their residence as they got ready for the event. Surrounded by their friends and relatives, we were able to catch the couple’s last moments of bachelorhood. Finally, they reached the Greek Orthodox Church for the ceremony.
The Ceremony: The couple tied the knot at the Greek Orthodox Church following traditional methods. The couple sealed their marital union, witnessed by their close ones and, of course, our camera as we clicked all the memorable moments to create their wedding album.
Photo Session: The photo shoot was carried out at Parliament House, where we captured the grandeur of the ornate interiors and the architectural design on the exterior. The building’s eloquence and historical significance make it incredibly romantic. It is one of the best places for intimate photo shoots!
