Terrindah Estate as a Geelong wedding venue
Set just an hour and a half from Melbourne’s CBD and just 20 minutes from Geelong, Terindah Estate is the perfect wedding venue. They combine award-winning wines with delicious food and amazing views overlooking Port Phillip Bay. They held their first private event in 2006 and then in February 2012 hosted their first ever event in the purpose-built Event Space. The Event Space dining room has space for 180 seated guests and includes a dance floor. It accommodates 200 guests when in cocktail configuration.
The Event Space also includes a veranda deck, mezzanine deck and cellar door. If you want slightly different configurations the hosts can accommodate your desire.
The venue is the ideal space if you want a setting with picturesque locations. You can say your vows amongst the vines in the vineyard or in the grass with the ocean as your backdrop.
From the moment you first chat with the hosts they’ll help you make the most of your wedding day and have contingency plans in place iff it decides to rain or if it gets windy and chilly. There are plenty of indoor and undercover spaces to celebrate. The venue is a great choice because the hosts will also take the time to carefully pair your wines and your food. They can serve banquets, shared platters or mini meals. Whatever you want, it will suit your style.
Our story with the couple
The morning getting ready: Our Geelong wedding photographer carefully captured the groom’s white suit jacket with black trim and his accessories before he got ready with his groomsmen who wore black suits, black ties and pale yellow rosettes.
The ecstasy on the groom’s face was clear as he posed with his two groomsmen in a field. He and his groomsmen had fun and were photographed playing in the field later on.
We then moved onto the bridal party where the bride had crisp white stilettos and a bouquet of light pink roses set out with the rings. We photographed her admiring her dress and sipping champagne with her two bridesmaids who were blood satin dresses and black sandals.
The wedding ceremony: The ceremony was set outside under a couple of umbrellas with the walkway used as the aisle for her father to walk her down. We then captured the moment as the guests threw confetti on the bride and groom after they’d taken their vows.
The wedding photo location: James and Hannah wanted their wedding to take place in a natural space for their wedding photography and we were able to capture a moment of them walking hand in hand in a field of yellow flowers with the ocean as the backdrop.
The wedding reception at Terindah Estate: The couple had a live band and we took a few snaps of them and their guests getting down on the dance floor.
