OUR STORY WITH THE COUPLE:
We met with this fun-loving gorgeous couple earlier this year and right from the start, it was clear we were on the same page with our vision for photography on the day. With years of experience under our belt as Melbourne wedding photographers, we can generally get a feel for what a couple is looking for – their likes and preferences – after that very first meeting.
The wedding getting ready: The photography journey began with our Melbourne wedding photographer capturing intimate moments of both our bride and groom getting ready. Dresses, suits, rings and shoes laid out made for stunning images captured, and with the bridal party by their side, our wedding photographer was able to take photos of preparations, and that celebratory lead-up with the people closest to you, that you never want to forget.
The wedding ceremony: The couple pledged their vows in a beautiful church with exposed wooden beams, leadlight windows and the longest aisle, which is ideal from a photographer’s perspective to show the scale. We were spoilt for choice taking photos of the loving couple against the backdrop of colourful and detailed religious iconography. The group shot of all of the guests taken outside was definitely a highlight.
The wedding photo location: A Chanel store provided the perfect setting for a series of playful post-ceremony photos. With the next stop Sheldon Reception, and some outdoor photos against the vintage Australian cars chosen for the day.
The wedding reception at Sheldon Reception: The elaborate staircase into the reception room with a lighting display and smoke machine provided more than enough razzle dazzle for the party to get started. And from that point on it was love, laughter, good food and wine, and lots – and lots – of dancing. The setting provided the perfect opportunity to capture shots of memories that will now last a lifetime.
