Situated on the hills of Eltham, the Montsalvat is a stunning heritage castle-like property that attracts Melbourne bride and grooms for weddings. Walking into the property, you will find yourself immediately immersed within the moody and mysterious vibe offered by the venue, which almost make you feel like you are in another world. Walking around the huge property, you will find the iconic bluestone castle, elegant swimming pool, as well as the art gallery and manicured gardens.

As a Melbourne wedding photographer, weddings at Montsalvat is one of the wedding venues that always got me excited, because getting beautiful wedding photos is just effortless. Whether it’s the bluestone castle, the magnificent upper-gallery with glazed mirror, or the ornamental pool area, Montsalvat provides a moody backdrop for beautiful wedding photos.
OUR STORY WITH THE COUPLE:
We met with the lovely couple earlier this year and it was great knowing the couple fell in love with our style of wedding photography at the very beginning. With many years of experience from capturing wedding videography at Montsalvat, without too much words, we quickly managed to stand on the same page of the style we after.
The morning: the couple started their morning together at their own place. Our bride cleverly divided the room into two so our groom could not get a peak on her dress before the ceremony. After the boys getting ready photos are done, our Melbourne wedding photographer then captured the getting ready photos for our bride Lucy. lastly, the couple celebrated their culture by doing tea ceremony with their elders and parents.
The wedding ceremony: the wedding ceremony of Tai and Lucy was held at the gallery. Featuring stunning colourful glazed windows and timber structure, the gallery provided a timeless backdrop for our Melbourne wedding photographer to capture.
The wedding reception: the wedding reception was held inside the Great Hall of Montsalvat, offering a moody castle vibe, our bride and groom dance their night away with their guests and had their best night ever.
