Lorne Hotel as a Geelong Wedding Venue
Located by the Lorne Beach on the Great Ocean Road, just one hour away from Geelong CBD, Lorne Hotel is one of the most unique wedding venues like no other in this region. As a branch of Merivale, more than great food and beverage, the venue offers floor to ceiling windows to give couples and their guests an uninterrupted overlooking on the breathtaking ocean. Meanwhile, the venue provides both modern indoor wedding ceremony and natural outdoor ceremony on the beach.
As a Geelong wedding photographer who has captured a few times in Lorne Hotel, what I love about this unique wedding venue is the endless wedding photography opportunities available around the venue. Couples can head to the beach and look out points for bridal party photography while the guests mingling and enjoy cocktail and canapes at the reception.
OUR STORY WITH THE COUPLE:
We met with the loving couple last year and it was pleasant to know that the couple were happy with our style of wedding photography at the very beginning. With many years of experience on capturing Melbourne city weddings, without too much words, we quickly managed to stand on the same page of the style we after.
The wedding getting ready: our Geelong wedding photographer started his day by capturing the couple’s getting ready routine at the accommodation nearby. With their friends and families, the couple had a happy time before they head to the wedding venue.
The wedding ceremony: the ceremony was held on the beach with the backdrop of the expansive ocean view. The couple exchanged their rings and made the first kiss in front of all the families and friends. Our photographer captured this important time of tears and laughter.
The wedding photo location: after the ceremony, the couple head to the little reserve near the beach. With the backdrop of rush waves, some sweat reaction was captured by our Geelong wedding photographer. For more different views, the couple went to the iconic bridge as well as the lookout point on the top of hill which facing to the great ocean. As we got these stunning photos, all the efforts were deserved when we look back.
