Situated in Eltham, the Ballara reception is a beautiful Victorian estate and garden wedding venue resting at the foothills of the Yarra Valley. As a Melbourne wedding videographer, what make me truly fallen in love with this stunning wedding venue is its breathtaking setting for stunning wedding videography. Walking inside the estate, you will find manicured English garden with weeping trees, in the centre sets a picturesque lake as well as the famous gazebo. Walking to the back of the venue, there is also a deck overlooking the lake while the giant ‘Love’ letters set aside.
Apart from the amazing wedding videography opportunities that the venue provides, what couples also love about the Ballara receptions is its versatilities. Being an all-in-one wedding venue, you can choose up to 6 different locations inside the estate to say ‘I do’, this includes the Chapel, the Gazebo, the Lakeside Garden, the Courtyard, the jetty as well as under the fairy lights.
OUR STORY WITH THE COUPLE:
We met with the lovely couple earlier this year and it was great knowing the couple fell in love with our style of wedding videography at the very beginning. Without too much words, we quickly managed to stand on the same page of the style we after.
The Wedding getting ready: we had lots of fun in the morning capturing both the getting ready process with the bride and groom and of course the cultural traditions involved. The ‘picking up and gifting’ from the groom as well as the ‘tea ceremonies’ are both very important part for Asian weddings.
The wedding ceremony: the chapel provided an excellent shelter from the rain, while keeping the wedding guests warm and cozy. After Kerry walked the aisle, our Melbourne wedding videographer captured their vows, ring exchange as well as their first kiss.
The wedding reception: the reception room at the Ballara Receptions is simply enchanting, together with the floor-to-ceiling windows, the chandelier-lit ballroom provided an excellent backdrop for the couple’s night party.
