Tucked away in the picturesque leafy Melbourne suburb of Eltham, the Bellara Receptions is a stunning Melbourne wedding venue that features a beautiful Victorian estate building as well as an idyllic garden and water feature.
As a Melbourne wedding photographer who has been to this wedding venue quite a few times now, I believe the Ballara receptions is a perfect choice for couple who is looking for a romantic and fairy-tale like wedding: for the wedding ceremony, couple can choose between the garden facing the gazebo or the English chapel which provides shelter from the harsh sunlight and the rain. Now after the wedding ceremony, we can do candid wedding photography directly onsite with the idyllic backdrop. Starting with the gazebo, jetty and the lake, moving to the other side of the estate, there are a giant wooden love letter as well as a swing for some natural and candid wedding photos.
During the night, the couple can enjoy dancing with their guest inside the spacious and enchanting ballroom venue with garden views.
OUR STORY WITH THE COUPLE:
We met with the lovely couple earlier this year and it was great knowing the couple fell in love with our style of wedding photography at the very beginning. With many years of experience from capturing weddings at the Ballara Receptions, without too much words, we quickly managed to stand on the same page of the style we after.
The morning getting ready: our Melbourne wedding photographer started their day by capturing the couple’s morning getting ready photography. accompanied by their fun bridal party consist of their best mates and siblings, we captured plenty of laughter and fun moments during that. Before we leave for the wedding ceremony, we also did Grant and Bridget’s family photos as well as personal portraits.
The wedding ceremony: the couple said ‘I do’ in front of their family and friends in the gazebo. During the wedding ceremony, our Melbourne wedding photographer captured lots of tears and laughter as well as the couple’s long-awaited first kiss.
The wedding photo location: after the wedding ceremony, we then took the couple and their bridal party for a fun bridal wedding photo session onsite.
