Webpage is very decieving. Will tell you that breakfast is included with the amount. Then came the breakfast time then we were told that we have to pay for the buffet breakfast but the continental bfast is free. So we went for the conti bfast then upon checking out, I was suprised to see $80/day for the breakfast. We stayed for 2 days and that will be $160 in total. My wife and kids were surprised to hear it as they were present when we were told that continental breakfast is free. They didn't apologise and very arrogant personnel. The aircon is poor as well, not to our expected level of coldness. Parking cost $30 per night of stay which wasn't mentioned in their webpage. There are a lot of hiddlen and very decieving info about this 4 star hotel. With the additional cost, we should have gone to a 5-star hotel. Low $244 per night? What a waste of money. Better go to cheaper accommodation, with free parking and good breakfast deals. One star to this hotel.

My family and I had a very bad experience staying at this hotel. We stayed in this hotel as it says in their webpage that it is a 4 star hotel we booked a room for a family of 4. The air condition in the room is self adjusting and it's not very cold. Our worst experience is with our breakfast. There are 2 different kinds of breakfast they serve which is buffet and continental. We were told that we have to pay for the buffet and the continental is free. So we took the continental breakfast during our 2 day stay. When we checked out, we had an extra charge of $80 a day for the breakfast they stood by their word that we have to pay for the continental breakfast so I eventually played for the breakfast even if I explained to them that we all heard what the breakfast receptionist told us. On top of that I have to pay for the $30 for the parking. So it was quite a stressful morning for the family hope that before we check in to this motel we have to check the added expenses it's very tricky.Thank you

Extremely Disappointing ExperienceI recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at the Amora River Walk hotel in Melbourne, a place I chose based on a recommendation. Unfortunately, my stay was riddled with numerous issues that severely impacted my perception of the hotel.Firstly, I was given the wrong key on two separate occasions, causing unnecessary inconvenience and frustration. Such basic errors in key management are concerning and indicate a lack of attention to detail. The behavior of the night manager was nothing short of appalling. During a phone conversation seeking assistance, the night manager not only displayed extreme rudeness but also hung up the phone mid-conversation, demonstrating a complete lack of professionalism and customer courtesy. To add to the dissatisfaction, the cleanliness of the room was far from acceptable. I found the room to be dirty and poorly maintained, which is not only disappointing but also raises concerns about hygiene and overall hotel standards. My overall experience at the Amora River Walk hotel was far below the standard I expected from a reputable establishment. I hope this feedback serves as a reminder of the importance of attentive customer service, meticulous room maintenance, and respectful communication in the hospitality industry. I trust the management will take these concerns seriously and make necessary improvements for the benefit of future guests.

Very disappointing experience at the Amora Riverwalk Hotel Richmond.I was staying at the hotel for 4 nights as a work conference was being held there.Firstly,Each night, party music was blasting until 12am. Each morning at 8am, Jazz music would play loudly through the courtyard. The rooms have no sound proofing at all so you could hear everything very clearly. You can hear everyone walking though the hallways. You can hear the people in the rooms either side of you.Secondly,The night before the function I decide to wash my hair using the shampoo and conditioner provided by the hotel. These products completely matted my hair to the root, made everything from my back to my hands and my hair feel like wax.I have never seen such damage done to hair in my life.I have lost 50% of my hair to breakage. Finally,When I asked to speak to the general manager about this he was not at the hotel, so I left my number to the lady at the reception desk and she handed me his card for me to try call him.I called twice. No response.Went back the next day and informed the same lady and she was shocked he didn’t call or pick up the calls when I tried.Checked out this-morning and I still have not been able to get in contact with management.Terrible Service. Incredibly dismissive and rude management.I am disgusted with the treatment I received as a paying guest.

Attended a conference here, only one toilet flushed and toilet paper run out early afternoon. The special diet food was appalling, and the ceiling in the main lobby was missing. Wouldn't go back.

I enjoyed my stay at Amora, the staff was friendly and nice. The location was amazing with riverside walk. What I enjoyed the most was the food. Their baked barramundi was delicious but a bit pricey. I do think the rooms were a bit outdated in terms of decor and overall ambience. Our toilet was not clean when we checked in which was a turn off.

Room was nice. Breakfast was ok for the price, although the coffee machine was not working well and the coffee was terrible. Spat water and steam everywhere ( not just us). Staff came over and noted the milk was empty but didn’t fill it. Also very noisy humming fridge all night.

Overall it was a good experience, the location was perfect for my function. Rooms were good but a little dated maybe. My main issue was I booked a queen room with a balcony, and all the photos showed balconies with tables and chairs. What I got was a tiny corner big enough for one person to stand (photo attached). I went down and said it was a little misleading, the manager barely looked up from the computer and just said ok I’ll put you in another room, and gave me keys. This other room did have a balcony but it was tiny and only had a shower over bath. At this point I went back down and said I’ll keep the original room and I ended up apologising for being annoying! When really I got a bad deal to begin with. Most of the staff were absolutely lovely and there was a nice vibe about the place.I had dinner there both nights and I do think it was quite overpriced. I have attached a photo of the $22 calamari I ordered, which was nice but I felt a little ripped off. The barramundi was really good but again $44 with no potato’s. Maybe I’ve just forgotten what Melbourne prices are like. I would recommend to stay here and I would definitely stay again.

Great stay but the room wasn’t very clean. Dust on skirting boards and surfaces, dusty toilet and mold on shower. Weeds growing through cracks in the balcony.Everything else was great. Service and staff 5 stars. Ps this is was mid November we stayed I just forgot.

Location not bad easy to get to trams, rooms are comfy. Wouldn't advise to get a cocktail from the bar not presented well, not worth what you pay and to add to it 30c surcharge is charged every time you pay by card. Not happy about that given everyone would pay electronically these days and we should have been advised. Also states in the hotel compendium that airport transfers can be arranged but when we inquired we were advised they did not. Balconies could also be better maintained and cleared of dirt on the rails and spider webs.
